What Terrorism Coverage Provides

Terrorism, as defined by the U. S. State Department, is included as a covered reason for Trip Cancellation/Interruption.

The Terrorist Attack, in order to be a covered reason, must occur in the 30 days prior to your trip and within the territorial limits of a city listed on your travel itinerary.

It is important to remember that not all acts of violence that may occur in a travel destination are automatically deemed to be terrorism. For example, acts of war and civil unrest may not be considered terrorism and may therefore not qualify as covered reasons for Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption.
