A Tropical Storm was identified at 5 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the Atlantic Ocean, about 950 miles east of the Lesser Antilles Islands, and was given the name Tropical Storm Colin by the U.S. National Weather Service Hurricane Center. The storm, named after reaching maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour, moved in a northwest direction and was expected to pass northeast and north of the Leeward Islands.
Travel Insured International plans purchased on or after August 3, 2010 will not provide coverage for adverse weather claims due to Tropical Storm Colin or its resulting weather pattern.
