A Tropical Storm was identified at 11 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 after reaching sustained winds of 40 miles per hour at a location about 100 miles southeast of the Cape Verde Islands in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. It was given the name Tropical Storm Igor by the U.S. National Weather Service Hurricane Center, and was moving westward over the Atlantic.
Travel Insured International plans purchased on or after September 8, 2010 will not provide coverage for adverse weather claims due to Hurricane Igor or its resulting weather pattern.
