A Tropical Storm was identified at 11 p.m. EDT on Sunday, September 12, 2010 after reaching sustained winds of 40 miles per hour at a location about 110 miles southeast of the Cape Verde Islands in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. It was given the name Tropical Storm Julia by the U.S. National Weather Service Hurricane Center, and was moving west-northwest over the Atlantic.
Travel Insured International plans purchased on or after September 12, 2010 will not provide coverage for adverse weather claims due to Tropical Storm Julia or its resulting weather pattern.
