A Tropical Storm was identified at 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010 after reaching sustained winds of 40 miles per hour at a location about 270 miles east of Chetumal, Mexico in the Northwestern Caribbean Sea. It was given the name Tropical Storm Karl by the U.S. National Weather Service Hurricane Center, and was moving west-northwest toward the Yucatan Peninsula.
Travel Insured International plans purchased on or after September 14, 2010 will not provide coverage for adverse weather claims due to Tropical Storm Karl or its resulting weather pattern.
