A Tropical Storm was identified at 5 p.m. EDT on Monday, October 11, 2010 in the western Caribbean Sea about 130 miles southeast of Isla Guanaja, Honduras, and was given the name Paula by the U.S. National Weather Service. The storm subsequently strengthened into Hurricane Paula as it moved northwest toward Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula with sustained winds of about 75 miles per hour.
