A Tropical Storm was identified at 5 p.m. EDT on Monday, August 30, 2010 after reaching sustained winds of 40 miles per hour in the western Atlantic Ocean, about 890 miles east of the Leeward Islands. It was given the name Tropical Storm Fiona by the U.S. National Weather Service Hurricane Center, and was moving westward over the Atlantic.
Travel Insured International plans purchased on or after August 30, 2010 will not provide coverage for adverse weather claims due to Tropical Storm Fiona or its resulting weather pattern.
