Tropical Storm Rina Officially Identified & Named

A Tropical Storm was identified at 11:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 after reaching sustained winds of 40 miles per hour at a location in the northwestern Caribbean Sea about 115 miles northeast of the Nicaragua-Honduras border off Central America. It was given the name Tropical Storm Rina by the U.S. National Weather Service Hurricane Center as it moved to the northwest toward Mexico.

Travel Insured International plans purchased on or after October 22, 2011 will not provide coverage for adverse weather claims due to Tropical Storm Rina or its resulting weather pattern.
