Tropical Storm Isaac Officially Identified and Named

Tropical Storm Isaac, named by the National Hurricane Center on August 22, 2012, was bearing down the Dominican Republic’s south coast and Haiti, and is expected to gain strength with its entrance to the Caribbean.

Forecasters predict that Isaac is likely to approach Hispaniola, late Thursday or early Friday and is predicted to strengthen into hurricane and move to Cuba and possibly hit the Tampa bay, Florida later in the week.
