The New Zealand capital Wellington was rattled by a strong magnitude-6.9 earthquake on Sunday, July 21, which caused minor structural damage that had left parts of the city without power. It was reported that the earthquake broke water mains, downed power lines, and smashed windows. There have been no reports of injury or death.
