Trip Cancellation vs. Trip Interruption

Trip cancellation applies after you purchase your plan but before departure. Trip Interruption applies after departure (or if you must join your trip after your scheduled departure date). The covered reasons for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption may vary from each other. Please read your plan document for details.

Covered Costs for Trip Cancellation

• Unused and forfeited prepaid, non-refundable trip costs
• Additional cost for higher per-person trip costs if your travel companion cancels for a covered reason (single supplement)

Covered Costs for Trip Interruption

• Unused, prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs for land or water travel arrangements you purchased for your trip
• Additional transportation costs to join, rejoin, or transport you to your originally scheduled return destination of your trip
• Coverage up to 150% of trip cost (up to 100% for the Essential plan)
