Plans That Include Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Coverage

Travel Medical Protector

AVAILABLE

Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion

The plan contains a Pre-Existing Conditions provision which may have an impact on your coverage.

"Pre-Existing Condition" means an illness, disease, or other condition of you or your traveling companion, a family member, or your business partner within the 60 day period prior to the Effective Date of Your Trip. Conditions are considered pre-existing if you/they:

  1. received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or
  2. took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. This does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 60 day period before coverage is effective under this plan.

Waiver of the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion

The exclusion for Pre-Existing Condition will be waived provided:

  1. You purchase the plan within 21 days of your initial trip payment/deposit for your trip, and
  2. You are physically able to travel at the time you pay for the plan.

Coverage and benefit eligibility may vary by state.
