Can the plan be purchased on the day of departure?

Yes, however, it becomes effective the day after purchase.

Can this plan be purchased for one way travel only?

Coverage can be provided for a full trip with a defined departure and return date. We cannot offer the Travel Medical Protector for one way travel.

What is the total travel protection plan length allowed (from purchase to the end of the trip)? Is there a time restriction for how far in advance someone can purchase a plan for their trip?

2.5 years (915 days) is the maximum length of time between application and departure. Total trip length cannot exceed 364 days.

Is there any non-medical emergency evacuation coverage available on this plan?

Yes.

Does the medical benefit continue once the insured returns home, or does it expire on the return date?

The coverage expires when they return home or their return date, whichever is earlier.

Are Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease considered pre-existing conditions?

If diagnosed prior to the effective date, then yes.

Do baggage and baggage delay coverages cover the insured's bags on the return trip home?

No for Baggage Delay, as it is for the outward journey only. For baggage loss, yes.
