Travel Insured Wins 2020 Silver Travel Weekly Magellan Award

by Travel Insured | Nov 06, 2020

Travel Insured International, a leading travel insurance provider, is pleased to announce that they won a 2020 Silver Magellan Award from Travel Weekly. Travel Insured won the award within the “Overall Travel Insurance” category with their entry “Everyday Innovation and Crisis Management.” The entry highlighted the sophisticated systems Travel Insured implemented to meet rising customer demands during the COVID-19 pandemic influx.  The organization upgraded to a cloud-based phone system and decreased wait times by launching their web-based chat bot, Atlas, an innovative tool with the ability to answer common questions quickly and accurately. Travel Insured rose to the challenge of managing the pandemic crises by keeping to their company values, to treat each and every customer like family.

The Magellan Awards honor the outstanding achievements of travel professionals worldwide. They celebrate remarkable design, marketing and services across the travel industry, including Hospitality, Cruise Lines, Online Travel Services, and Travel Agencies.

“Winning a Magellan Award brings pride and much appreciated recognition to our organization,” says Sherry Sutton, VP of Marketing and Project Management. “We strive toward innovation, and this award proves that we represent a high standard of excellence within the travel industry.”

The Magellan Awards are judged and overseen by a one-of-a-kind panel consisting of top-notch travel experts. Earning an award serves as recognition from some of the best in the travel industry today. Travel Insured’s award is featured in the November issue of Travel Weekly, which includes a section dedicated to this year’s winners.
