What School Year Extension Covers

As a covered reason under Trip Cancellation, School Year Extension is when you or your traveling companion are a student, parent of student, or are employed as a full-time teacher/employee at an elementary, middle, or high school and are required to attend an extended school year that falls during or beyond the scheduled trip departure date.

It is important to note that School Year Extension coverage does not apply to extensions due to extra-curricular activities or athletic events.
