Travel Protection Plans for Individual Travelers
There are five (5) Travel Protection Plans we offer to independent (non-group) travelers:
Worldwide Trip Protector
Worldwide Trip Protector is our most popular plan of travel insurance coverage and assistance. Coverage for travelers and families includes coverage for children under 18 traveling with a related adult at no additional cost. Pre-existing medical conditions waiver is available for purchase within 14 days of the initial trip deposit, as well as many other optional coverage benefits.
Worldwide Trip Protector Gold is our comprehensive travel insurance coverage that provides the highest limits of medical coverage plus additional benefits when purchased within 14 days of initial trip deposit. Recommended for luxury vacation itineraries and when plans call for higher travel health insurance benefits.
Our Worldwide Trip Protector Lite plan includes the essential travel insurance coverage and worldwide travel assistance. One child under 18 traveling receives free protection per related adult. This plan has optional upgrade choices to meet your specific travel needs; choose the optional medical upgrade, collision damage waiver, cancel for any reason and much more.
Worldwide Trip Protector Lite Expanded, expands upon our Lite product. Lite Expanded comes with increased baggage limits, increased medical limits, pre-existing medical condition waiver when purchased within 14 days of initial trip deposit and several other valuable benefits. One child under 18 traveling receives free protection per related adult.
Travel Insured’s Airline Ticket Protector is designed to cover the cost of domestic or international airline tickets as well as the ticket change fees charged by the airlines.
Travel Protection Plans for Group Travelers
There are two (2) Travel Protection Plans available for groups of 10 or more people traveling together; choose the best one for your group!
Travel Insured Group Plans, Lite and Deluxe, provide affordable yet strong insurance coverage for groups of 10 or more passengers traveling on the same dates and itinerary. Cancel for any reason is now an available upgrade option, and you qualify for a pre-existing condition waiver when you buy a plan prior to final payment. Both plans are now available to cover family groups!
This plan provides strong Trip Cancellation, Interruption and Delay Protection. This is a great plan for shorter domestic itineraries.
This plan is right for groups traveling on international itineraries where emergency health protection is needed or when members do not otherwise have adequate health insurance. Includes all of the travel, medical, and baggage coverage components.
This can be added to the Lite or Deluxe plan when purchased within 14 days of the initial trip deposit. The option allows the insured participant to cancel two days or more prior to the scheduled departure date and be reimbursed for up to 75% of the prepaid, non-refundable trip cost. The option can be selected by individual members or the entire group.
Travel Protection Plans for Student Group Travelers
Student Group Plans are available only to student, civic, and youth organizations and must include 80% or more travelers who are age 35 or younger. This is not available to a family group, and may be sold either as voluntary for each participant or inclusive, with coverage built into the travel package for all participants.
This student plan provides strong Trip Cancellation, Interruption and Delay Protection, and is for groups that already have Emergency Health protection. This is a great plan for shorter domestic itineraries.
This plan is right for student groups traveling on international itineraries where emergency health protection is needed or when members do not otherwise have adequate health insurance. Includes all of the travel, medical, accident, and baggage coverage components.
This can be added to the Basic or Comprehensive plan when purchased within 14 days of the initial trip deposit. The option allows the insured participant to cancel two days or more prior to the scheduled departure date and be reimbursed for up to 75% of the prepaid, non-refundable trip cost. The option can be selected by individual members or the entire group.
This plan is right for student groups already covered by a pre-departure cancellation waiver, but in need of other Trip Delay, Emergency Medical, and Baggage Protection benefits. Coverage for this student group plan begins at 12:01 a.m. on the group’s scheduled trip departure date.
