What the Optional Flight Bundle Covers
Travel Insured International’s Flight Bundle is an optional upgrade to your travel protection plan designed to offer extra security during your air travel. This bundle provides additional covered reasons for Trip Cancellation and Interruption, and adds benefits to your plan for Change Fee, Travel Inconvenience, Air Flight Only AD&D, and Frequent Traveler Reward.
Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption
Adds three covered reasons if you need to cancel or interrupt your trip due to: a) mechanical breakdown/equipment failure of the aircraft; b) mandated shutdown by local government authorities of an airport or air traffic control system; or c) shutdown of the air traffic control system or an airport due to fire or power outage. Frequent Traveler Reward
If you booked your travel with frequent traveler rewards, such as airline points, and you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason, we can reimburse you for the cost charged to re-deposit the rewards/points into your account.
Travel Inconvenience
Can receive a benefit due to a covered inconvenience during the trip. This includes the following inconveniences: Missing Work, Flight Cancellation, Flight Diversion, Tarmac Delay, and Delay at Security Check-in.
Change Fee
This benefit provides reimbursement for the change fee charged by an air common carrier for changing a ticket, or for the fees assessed by your travel supplier for changing your original travel arrangements.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (Air Flight Only)
Provides a benefit for a covered injury caused by an accident occurring during your trip while riding on, or boarding/exiting an aircraft or public transportation provided by an air carrier. Please read the plan document for full details.
